Awards
On January 5th, the prestigious and coveted CES Innovations Design and Engineering Award was presented at a press event in Las Vegas. The Innovations Design and Engineering Awards program recognizes the most innovative consumer electronics (CE) products in the industry’s hottest product categories. Innovations has become a hallmark for the best designed products in consumer technology.
Since 1976, the prestigious Innovations Design and Engineering Awards has given consumer technology manufacturers and developers an opportunity to have their newest products judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers and members of the trade press. It’s the place to see, touch, feel and understand the future of consumer technology.

The event was the introduction of the Klipsch LightSpeaker and drew quite a crowd of positive PR folks from around the world. A generous thanks goes out to everyone that attended and crafted their opinions in writing regarding the LightSpeaker!
On January 8th, a CEDIA industry heavyweight presented yet another honor in the Electronic House TOPS Award, recognizing the best technology, products and services for the connected home.
“Most other awards programs centered around CES focus on gadgets or a limited number of product categories such as audio and video,” says Electronic House editor Julie Jacobson. “Since Electronic House encompasses the complete connected home, we recognize such devices as motorized window shades and streaming media.”
Winners of the ToPS Awards were chosen by EH editors, along with distinguished industry veterans and the magazine’s DIY correspondent.
