The LightSpeaker Transmitter is very versatile
With your headphone out jack on most MP3 players, amplifiers, CD players or laptops, or an RCA jack from your legacy components or TV, the LightSpeaker system includes everything you need to have music all over your home in minutes. Purchase a LightSpeaker system and you merely replace two light bulbs with LightSpeakers (whether in recessed lighting fixtures or your favorite lamps), plug in the transmitter, hook up your iPod and you’ll be listening to your favorite music without the fuss of wires to the speakers or floor space surrendered to large box speakers. No fuss, no muss, just great music! Below are some tips and ideas on how you can be listening to your favorite music in minutes!!
Use your TV as a music source!
1) You will need the following:
- A LightSpeaker transmitter and loudspeaker product (LightSpeakers and/or AudioRock with or without the SubWoofer)
- A TV with RCA or headphone mini-jack outputs.
2) Plug the included audio cable into the RCA jack from your TV’s audio out.
3) Plug the other end of the included audio cable into Source 1 or 2 on the back the LightSpeaker Transmitter, noting which Source (1 or 2) you plugged it into.
4) Make sure the TV, LightSpeakers and Transmitter are on and the transmitter is set to the Zone and source you wish to hear!
5) Enjoy your music or movies on your LightSpeakers!
Use your MP3 player as a music source!
1) You will need the following:
- A LightSpeaker transmitter and loudspeaker product (LightSpeakers and/or AudioRock with or without the SubWoofer)
- An MP3 player with a headphone mini-jack output.
2) Plug the included audio cable into the Rheadphone mini-jack output on your MP3 player.
3) Plug the other end of the included audio cable into Source 1 or 2 on the back the LightSpeaker Transmitter, noting which Source (1 or 2) you plugged it into.
4) Make sure the MP3 player, LightSpeakers and Transmitter are on and the transmitter is set to the Zone and source you wish to hear!
5) Enjoy your music or movies on your LightSpeakers!
Use your wifi enabled iPod®, iPhone®, Apple TV® or iPad® as a wireless remote!
1) You will need the following:
- A LightSpeaker transmitter and loudspeaker product (LightSpeakers and/or AudioRock with or without the SubWoofer)
- A wireless home network
- A wi-fi enabled iPod, iPhone, Apple TV or iPad
- An iTunes account on your computer.
2) Enable the wi-fi on your device

3) Â Install Apple Remote from the App Store. Â From your device, go to the App Store icon.
- Search “Apple Remote”.
- Download the FREE App, Apple Remote
- Install the App
4) Hook up your LightSpeaker Transmitter to your computer, using the mini jack to RCA cord included.
5) Open iTunes on your computer. Follow these instructions: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1947
6) Open the Apple Remote app on your device and you’ll be ready to use your Apple® product as a wireless remote to control the music to your LightSpeaker system!
Use your wifi enabled Android® device, iPod®, iPhone® or iPad® as a wireless remote with Sonos®!
1) You will need the following:
- A LightSpeaker transmitter and loudspeaker product (LightSpeakers and/or AudioRock with or without the SubWoofer)
- A wireless home network
- A wi-fi enabled Android® device, a Sonos compatible Apple device running the Sonos App (Andronos for Android)
- A Sonos ZonePlayer with complimenting software running on your PC.

3) Hook up your LightSpeaker Transmitter to your Sonos ZonePlayer, using the RCA to RCA cord included.
4) Open the Sonos App on your device and you’ll be ready to use your Android or Apple® product as a wireless remote to control the music to your LightSpeaker system using Sonos!
